Drag the Edges or Corners

The simplest method: move your mouse to any edge or corner of the window until the cursor changes to a double arrow, then drag inward or outward.

  • Drag a corner to resize both width and height at once.
  • Drag an edge to resize only one direction.

Snap Windows Side by Side

Windows: press Win + Left Arrow or Win + Right Arrow to snap the window to half the screen. Press Win + Up Arrow to maximize, Win + Down Arrow to minimize.

Mac: hover over the green button (top-left) and choose "Tile Window to Left/Right of Screen", or hold Option while hovering the green button to show more options.

Maximize and Full Screen

  • Maximize — double-click the title bar (Windows) or press the green + button (Mac).
  • Full screen — press F11 on Windows/Linux, or Ctrl + Cmd + F on Mac. Press again to exit.

In full-screen mode the browser hides its tabs and toolbars, so the viewport gets larger.

Resize Using Only the Keyboard (Windows)

  1. Click the window to focus it.
  2. Press Alt + Space to open the window menu.
  3. Press S (for Size), then use the arrow keys to resize.
  4. Press Enter when done.

This is handy when the window is too large to reach its edges with the mouse.
